“Swimming”
by Keith Richmond
In the vast emotion that hearts can feel,
when love has found a home,
lives a feeling that is now revealed,
the greatest I have known.
The rain-washed air is clear above,
the full moon lights the sky,
no distance felt from this true love,
and my heart can tell you why.
When you smile my heart fills to the brim,
in your eyes my heart does soar,
in this love my heart can finally swim,
and I could never swim before.
Your beauty creates an ocean,
where my heart can both swim and sail,
and in all this vast emotion,
it is pure love that does prevail.
