“The Train”
by Keith Richmond
Lying still in the nighttime air,
a distant sound is coming near,
the song of a train begins to swell,
and it is life’s journey I can hear.
The whistle sounds a warning,
there are challenges ahead,
with the beauty of the morning,
can come a rumbling instead.
In each challenge of our travel,
Lives a lesson of great form,
what feels like world’s unravel,
is just a temporary storm.
The lesson of the train is clear,
even in all that shaking glass,
just stay calm, and do not fear,
and soon the rumbling will pass.
